These rules apply to all National Senior League regular season matches.
Each team will belong to a conference of 8 total teams.
Each team will bowl 1 match per week during the regular season against a team from their conference.
- A match consists of 2 games.
- Each game is bowled by 4 players.
- Total bowling score, strikes, and spares must be recorded for each player, for each game.
- Individual player totals will be combined to get the team score for that game.
A team will consist of a minimum of 5 bowlers.
- Any combination of roster players may bowl in each game.
If a community has multiple teams, a player may be on only 1 team.
Scoring – A match is worth a total of 5 NSL Points as described below.
- Each game is worth 2 NSL Points to the winning team.
- Tie games are worth 1 NSL point to each team.
- 1 point will be awarded to the team with the highest point total for both games.
In event of a tie for point total for both games.
- Highest number of strikes in match will serve as 1 tie-breaker.
- Highest number of spares in match will serve as 2 tie-breaker.
If 4 players are not available to bowl a game, missing player(s) score will be a zero.
- A team must select the 4 bowlers to bowl the game prior to bowling. (Do not just take the 4 highest scores from all team members after all have bowled)
- ALL SCORING RESULTS ARE TO BE POSTED BY COACHES TO WEBSITE BY 9PM EASTERN TIME EACH THURSDAY. LATE RESULTS WILL BE CONSIDERED A FORFEIT.
- Please use the official NSL score sheet to keep track of game/match results. This can be found under Resources button on league web page.
- The regular season will consist of 7 weeks starting the week of February 14th, 2011.
- Should a team drop out of competition at any point in the season, scores and
results leading up to that point will still count in the standings.
- Teams may bowl their match any time between Monday and Thursday.
- Results must be posted to the website by 9pm EST each Thursday of the regular season.
- ALL TEAMS PLEASE NOTE
- If a coach has problems posting results to the website they may e- mail dennis@nslgames.com the results. These must be posted before 9pm eastern time Thursday or will be considered a forfeit.
- The NSL Website will not allow teams to post scores after the 9pm EST Thursday.
